A status on development and fulfillment

Hello all,

Apologies for the lack of Kickstarter updates. Over the past few months I have been focusing on development and backer communication through our community discord server, which I have been using for the majority of backer updates and Q&A.

Recently, however, issues have come up regarding the booster boxes for Arcana Resurgence. Because of these issues, our manufacturer will be reprinting the booster box print run. Unfortunately I was only made aware of these issues earlier this month. However, I have been working with our manufacturer to ensure that everything gets resolved as fast as possible.

As a result, fulfillment of the booster boxes will be pushed back to the end of May. Until then, we're prepping the preconstructed decks for shipping. You will be receiving your tracking numbers by the end of this month.

I apologize for the delay in getting all of this information out to all of you. However, I saw it prudent to ensure that I had all of the information and dates before making any public statement, in order to minimize the chances of missing another deadline. Fortunately, our manufacturer is telling us that it shouldn't take more than 4-5 weeks to reprint the booster boxes. After that, they will be expedited to our fulfillment partner so they can get to all of you.

I hope this answers some questions, and again I apologize for the delays to backer fulfillment. Thanks to all of you for your patience and support over the past couple months, and I look forward to everyone receiving your backer rewards in the near future.

It's been a while! Apologies for information being sparse on the Kickstarter page, I've been posting most of the teasers to the Arcana Resurgence Discord server, which you can join here!

Anyways, since a lot of work has gone into the Shadow card pool this past month, I figured we can showcase some of those new cards :)

Fog of War is a new quickcast spell intended to play into Shadow magic's strength of deception and obstruction. By blanketing the battlefield with a thick, gloomy fog, the enemy is thrown into disarray, preventing them from responding to your advances.

Wish is a card simple in both design and flavor. Although searching your deck for cards is an ability usually reserved for Light and Intelligence cards, the flavor of wishing on a shooting star as it flies across the sky felt very much in line with Shadow magic.

Finally, the Indentured Reaper. With no intelligence or mana cost, Indentured Reaper is technically a "free" familiar. However, its that first line of text that determines the true cost.

Indentured Reaper can only be played when a mage dies.

Indentured Reaper was an experiment in finding alternative ways to play cards. You can play it for free at any point in the game, however it can only be played as a mage dies. Any mage, whether it's controlled by you or an opponent, is enough to pay this card's summoning cost.

As of yesterday, all backers should have access to the Pledge Manager. If you haven't done so already, be sure to check your emails for the link to the Backerkit page. There, you'll be able to pay for shipping and add any extra items.

With 24 hours to go, we're finally in the home stretch for Arcana Resurgence! I'm extremely grateful for the response the community has had to our game, and I look forward to the day everyone gets their copies and are able to play the game :)

Just a remind that at the time of writing, we are a less than $600 away from unlocking the Alt-art Mage Cards! At $15,000, we will add a set of mage cards with a Kickstarter exclusive art and frame treatment to backer orders that will not be available in retail or kickstarter booster boxes!

These mage cards will be available to any backer who orders at least 1 item (Precons, Booster Boxes, Playmats, etc).

With that out of the way, we've gotten a few more questions over the past week, so let's get those answered!

Question: I'm ordering a few add-ons. How many sets of foil/alt art mages do I get?

Backers will get their first set of foil mages either by backing at Master of the Arcane, or by purchasing 2 booster boxes. Backers who order a booster box case will receive 2 sets of foil mages.

The alt art mage  will be available to all backers who order one product (Playmat, precons, booster boxes), either through the Kickstarter or backerkit pledge manager.

Backers will receive an additional set of these cards for every $100 they pledge after that initial amount. So if you pledge at Master of the Arcane and add 2 booster boxes on the campaign or via backerkit, you will get an additional set of foil and alt art mages.

Question: I want to increase my pledge amount, but won't be able to until after the campaign? Can I increase it post-campaign?

Yes! As long as you pledge at least $1 on the kickstarter campaign, you will have access to the backerkit pledge manager after the campaign ends.

As a supporter of several kickstarters myself, it always bugs me when I back a campaign, but am completely locked out from adding items onto my order. To prevent that from happening to backers on my campaign, all items (minus the "Make a card" option) will be available through the pledge manager.

Question: What add-ons will be available through Backerkit?

Every item that's on the kickstarter will be available as an add-on through Backerkit. This includes:

• Preconstructed decks
• Booster Boxes
• Booster Cases
• Playmats

Additionally, we will also have leyline kits available for backers that want to run draft events with their friends, along with bundles of 3 booster packs that backers can purchase as gifts to help draw friends into the game. We've also been discussing things with a few card sleeve manufacturers about getting Arcana Resurgence-themed sleeves printed for the post-campaign pledge manager. Once we have a price and order volume locked in, we will make them available as add-ons as well.

Question: Can we see some more cards?
